Tutus and Wigs All Around

Last night was Circus night!!!

The last few years, there has been Clown College, which was a couple of hours set aside for the Fire Safety Clowns around Dallas/Ft. Worth to come meet with the professionals of Ringling Bros., and learn a few tricks of the trade. The professionals also seemed to get a little something out of it as well.

This was not the case this year, but we still got the opportunity to go to the Opening Night Celebration and watch the show...and then socialize with one of the clowns. I have to say...this particular show, Zing Zang Zoom has been my favorite so far.

We got to the AA Center a little early, just in time to find a restaurant and eat...and then hunt for a cache...Awesome way to spend some time before the doors opened. Whoever decided to make geocaches is a brilliant person!!!!

And what did Brylee think of her first visit?

She slept...

I kid you not. Of all the times she is very normal about getting in 3-4 naps of anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, she only got in about 1 1/2 hours all day. So the poor little thing was pooped and slept through 3/4 of the show!

I walked away with a headache from the loud music, and she had no problem sleeping through it...yeah. I hear it all the time...great kid!

But the circus was awesome, as I always think it is. I loved watching the animals, especially the silly dogs and massive elephants. I also enjoyed the Qi Qi Har Acrobatics Troupe, and of course...the clowns.

After the show, we got to briefly visit with Dustin, one of the clowns who has worked with my parents at the clown college. Brylee was just waking up, and we were wondering how she would respond to coming face to face with him since he was still in makeup...and she did great! She even 'shook' his hand!

The evening was wonderful. I enjoy the circus so much, and I always wonder afterwards if I would be able to join them. Now I would have to find a way to have Cary, Brylee, and Chester be a part as well...I think it would work. We do have silly in our blood!

(Speaking of which, auditions to become a clown is happening next week!)
From Facebook:

CALLING ALL CLOWNS! Ringling Bros. is holding Dallas auditions for clown hopefuls on Friday, August 6, 10AM at American Airlines Center. Visit http://auditions.ringlingdfw.com/ for more info and to register. Wednesday, August 4 at Noon is the last day to register online.

***I will be posting more pictures once I get some uploaded from my dad's camera. I love the vibrant colors the circus has, and can't wait to see how his and Cary's great photography eye did to bring them to the lens!

More On Ashton's Birthday Party...

Well, it's more if you've seen mom's post about Ashton's birthday party.

This little boy is so full of spunk and so cute...it's hard to imagine that he fought a battle with cancer. He may only have one leg now, but boy...he can get around like a little bolt of lightening!

Since mom put it best in describing the party, I will just enhance her post by adding more pictures...

Enjoy, and a very happy birthday to Ashton!!!

Oh yeah...and can't resist a couple of pictures of Brylee here and there! (Sorry!)

My awesome poppy giving the tour. It was really interesting...except for the heat in the bay area!

In conclusion....

Very different than from a few posts ago where she was screaming while he was holding her, huh?

Little Ashton has been around doctors so much in his little life, I wouldn't be surprised if he went through medical school. He's already got the anesthesia part down!

Museum fire truck that was decorated with the names of the 343 firemen lost in 9/11. Beautiful truck!

Just call him 'Mr. Serious'...

Having Some Fun

What A Ride It's Been!

Today is 36 weeks for our little one! This is equal to the morning that I woke up early and found out my water had broken--36 weeks.

1 week until she was full term.

One week until Thanksgiving.

I had realized that I could have the baby as early as Thanksgiving (or my parents anniversary), because that was officially full term. Nothing ever passed through my mind that I could have her BEFORE 37 weeks. I still praise the Good Lord for her health every time I look at her.

To celebrate, I have picked 36(ish) pictures showing her from birth until today. It was an incredibly hard decision, attempting to pick pictures that have never been shown before, but also because there are just so many adorable looks from her!

As far as achievements, if you have seen the previous post, you have noticed that she is finally crawling (finally? I should take before and after pictures of me trying to keep up with her...)

No teeth yet. But I found out that my dear friend's little one didn't get her first tooth until 11 months. So technically, no worries still.

She is pulling herself up on everything. It is her new hobby. And she crawls only to a place so that she can pull up and shine her big smile as if she is saying 'Look at me...I've done it again!'. Once more, I'm already exhausted from trying to make sure there is not a hard landing surface from this very new enjoyment.

So, with all of the updates I think there is at this time, I will waste no more that showing you all the pictures of her week by week, in order (I hope). Enjoy!

Ninjago With A Special Guest

So we took B to go see Ninjago, The LEGO movie a couple of weeks ago, and by we, I mean Cary, myself, my dad, and...my grandfather. Odd co...
