There were 3 levels, the top level being dedicated to television and/or yoga. The middle level full of toys for kids of all ages, and the bottom level, well, I'm not sure what it was for, but Cary and Gary explored it while I finished getting everything ready for our day out.
Cary and I also took the opportunity to look at the little creek across the road from us. Beautiful area with the trees slowly turning fall colors. I can't imagine what it would look like once the colors change further in the season!
The front patio where we enjoyed the morning. We left around 9:30 and drove to the location of Calvin Coolidge's birth, life, inauguration, and death, which was in the same town we were staying at. Cute little area, complete with a very old garden, general store (where we took the opportunity to buy some candy), Coolidge's father's workshop, and the church where he attended.
Note: this is one of the most beautiful churches I have ever laid eyes on!
After checking out the small village, the family drove out towards Chester, to hunt out a cache in honor of our favorite doggie. On the way, we found this horse eating out of the back of a car, which for some reason, cracked me up. Gary was nice enough to turn the car around so I could get the picture.
There is a cache just to the left of this picture, on a train car...great way to get out and stretch our legs and get some food in Brylee!
Our next stop was Grafton, where Brenda and Gary have been previously and wanted to show us the cows. Brylee met the cows and even got licked by one. She wasn't so sure what to think about that part, but otherwise enjoyed meeting Cabela, Tresemme, and Ginger.
Of course Cary took the opportunity to get some beautiful pictures while daring his dad to get across a creek without falling in. Fortunately for Gary, not a problem...
We then found a little cafe to stop and eat. While settling down, we saw a couple come in with a young baby, too. While we all waited for our food, the lady came over to show her little one to Brylee, and we found out that they were on holiday from Germany, renting an RV and driving though New England for about a month. Their little one was 7 months old, and looked so much like Brylee, except for the size. Both were so cute checking each other out!
After lunch (everyone had sandwiches, but I had pancakes--tastier than the ones I had the previous day!) we explored the town of Grafton a little more, finding beautiful homes decorated with pumpkins and a large rock that had the names of towns' people that were in all of the wars since America was formed. Incredible how many people were on it!
After walking Grafton (not much to walk around, actually!) we headed to Weston, where we visited a Christmas store that we stumbled upon on our honeymoon. Love the store, and enjoyed showing Brylee what we enjoyed so much less than 3 years earlier!
We also checked out other stores and the square in Weston, taking the opportunity to get some cute pictures in.
Afterwards, we drove home and took the opportunity to play around in the basement for an hour or two.
Somehow, Cary and I convinced his parents to let us have a date night, which was so much fun. It started out when we were looking for a place to eat dinner, but everything in Woodstock was closed at 6:00 p.m. But we found this little coffee shop that was open for another hour, so we got some sandwiches and enjoyed sitting on the patio, watching a couple of models walk back and forth with a photographer at the end.
At the time I ate this, this sandwich was the best I have ever had...very tasty!
While waiting for our yummy food, we found out that there was a cache just published that had yet to be found...so Cary and I ate quickly and got on the road to see if we could be the first to find...which would be a first for us!
We were successful! We got to find the cache first, and the prize was a deck of cards. The container was full of goodies (patches, plastic rings, silly-shaped paper clips), but we found it funny that there was no log...which is important for any cache! So Cary and I found some paper in the car and used it to log our visit.
Afterwards, of course, we had the adrenaline going and went hunting for more caches, one that we found in the Taftsville covered bridge.
After more hunting, Cary and I stopped at our favorite casual restaurant, The East Ender, for dessert. We dinner here while on our honeymoon one night, and then the next night we were back for dessert...where I had incredible pumpkin spice cheesecake. I was hoping for more cheesecake, but apparently it was not on the dessert tray for the evening. So I got a dish of strawberries, cream, and chocolate drizzle for my dessert, and Cary got Lady's Fingers with maple cream cheese topping...both were delicious, but for once, I think I liked Cary's better!
After enjoying some time at the restaurant, Cary and I headed home, stopping for 2 more caches, one being another FTF!

Brylee looks so adorable in that hat!!! Babies in hats = Almost worth moving somewhere cold, just so they get to wear them! :)
